A 90-absinthe, Pernod, one of the original distillers of absinthe, is as close as you'll get to that now-outlawed French liqueur.
Pernod now uses anise to produce its modern-day substitute.
We like to spend hot summer afternoons sipping on a tall glass filled with
shaved ice, one part Pernod, and five parts water.
