Serves four
1 pint fresh strawberries, washed and sliced
1/2 gallon French vanilla ice cream
Grand Marnier
Put the sliced strawberries in a bowl and pour approximately 1/3 of a cup of Grand Marnier over them, so they can absorb the flavor of the liquor. Let sit in the refrigerator for approximately two hours.
When it is time for dessert, scoop ice cream into four (preferably stemmed) dessert glasses. We recommend higher-quality French vanilla ice cream with specks of vanilla bean. Ladle the marinated strawberries over each scoop of ice cream, and drizzle Grand Marnier over the top and down the inside of the glass of each serving.
