Spirit Reference
There could never be the cocktail, without the spirits that go into it. And understanding the differences in the forms these spirits take is important to knowing how to make just the right cocktail for your guests.

The books in this section are ones that focus on a specific Spirit and provides very detailed information about its history, the various brands available, and often with recipes for cocktails made with this spirit. It can also be a book that provides this level of information on a wide variety of spirits, perhaps with fewer (if any) cocktails listed. A Wad-O-Drinks book that breaks the recipes into chapters according to their base spirit, and introduced each chapter with several pages of information about this base spirit, could be considered (loosely) a Spirits Reference.
